Dr. Jessica Sander Peden, DPT is the owner of Wellness Wahine, LLC. Graduating from the top-ranked University of Delaware Doctorate of Physical Therapy program in 2005 she returned to the Delaware beaches to start her career.  While practicing PT full-time Jessica knew it was important to continue her education to best serve her patients. She has completed a fifty-four hour functional dry needling training via Kinetacore and is proud to be one of seven U.S. PT's trained in the Italian Raggi Method of manual postural re-balancing.  Jessica is also skilled in Myofascial Decompression, also known as Cup Therapy which has been made popular through its use helping Olympic athletes perform.  Seeing the overwhelming need for more pelvic floor therapists in her community she has expanded her skill set and is trained in managing pelvic pain and dysfunction.  Jessica is blessed to now have experienced a pregnancy herself and provides prenatal and postnatal physical therapy, fitness and yoga instruction. Yoga is Jessica’s chosen form of exercise to keep herself fit and grounded, but as yoga grows in popularity, so too grows the number of yoga-related injuries.  Becoming a certified yoga practitioner has facilitated her ability to address incorrect form and assist her students in safe Asana practice, reducing risk of injury.

Wahine is the Hawaiian term for Woman. During her time practicing PT in Maui, HI she began to embrace the value of addressing both physical and emotional body maladies, while growing herself physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Her business name Wellness Wahine pays homage to Maui and all of her adventures while living there.

Whether you are looking to reduce stress and tension, heal an acute injury, or dealing with a chronic pain issue, Jessica has a wide assortment of modalities and techniques to promote mind, body, and spiritual well-being.  Her one-on-one patient care model facilitates personalized treatment plans.  This enables her to pinpoint your needs and get you on the road to recovery.
